A well-established organization with multiple subsidiaries and associated entities across the UAE is seeking a highly experienced Head of IT to lead its enterprise-wide technology strategy and operations. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role plays a pivotal part in ensuring that the company’s IT infrastructure, systems, and digital transformation initiatives effectively support overall business objectives.
With a strong emphasis on innovation, efficiency, and operational excellence, the organization leverages advanced ERP and SAP systems to drive productivity and maintain competitive advantage across all its business units.
About the Role
The Head of IT will be responsible for developing and executing the company’s technology roadmap, managing IT operations, infrastructure, and cybersecurity, and ensuring seamless functioning of the SAP S/4 HANA system across all entities. This leadership position requires a strategic thinker with hands-on SAP expertise and a proven ability to lead teams, manage vendors, and deliver transformative IT initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
>> SAP S/4 HANA Management (Primary Focus)
>> Manage the SAP S/4 HANA system across the organization and subsidiaries
>> Oversee SAP infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability
>> Lead system implementation, configuration, and ongoing optimization
>> Provide training, guidance, and post go-live support for SAP users
>> Ensure seamless integration and functionality of ERP systems
>> SAP Module Expertise Required
>> MM (Materials Management)
>> FICO (Financial Accounting & Controlling)
>> SD (Sales & Distribution)
>> PM (Plant Maintenance)
>> HR (Human Resources)
>> BI (Business Intelligence)
>> IT Infrastructure & Operations
>> Oversee IT networks, servers, cloud services, and storage systems
>> Ensure performance, reliability, and scalability of IT infrastructure
>> Implement and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans
>> Manage day-to-day IT operations and ensure business continuity across all entities

>> Develop and enforce IT security policies, standards, and best practices
>> Ensure compliance with data protection and regulatory requirements
>> Lead cybersecurity initiatives, risk management, and incident response
>> Protect enterprise data through robust access control and security monitoring

>> Negotiate and oversee vendor contracts and service agreements

Education & Certification
>> Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field
>> SAP certification is a strong advantage
Experience
>> 10–12 years of experience in SAP implementation and post go-live support
>> Proven track record managing SAP S/4 HANA environments
>> Expertise across multiple SAP modules (MM, FICO, SD, PM, HR, BI)
>> Experience leading IT strategy, infrastructure management, and cybersecurity
>> Technical Expertise
>> SAP configuration, customization, and system optimization
>> IT infrastructure design, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and virtualization
>> ERP/CRM systems, data analytics, and enterprise applications
>> Backup, recovery, and business continuity systems Skills and Competencies
