About the Role

As a Food Development Engineer, you will play a key role in driving product innovation — from concept to commercial launch. You’ll be responsible for developing new formulations, improving existing recipes, and ensuring smooth scale-up from lab trials to full production. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on creativity, precision, and teamwork in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and refine food formulations in line with market trends and company objectives.

  • Research ingredients, flavors, and processes to improve product quality and performance.

  • Design and scale up production processes from pilot to commercial scale.

  • Collaborate closely with production, quality, and procurement teams for seamless implementation.

  • Ensure compliance with HACCP, ISO, and other international food safety standards.

  • Conduct sensory evaluations, stability tests, and shelf-life studies.

  • Support marketing and sales teams with technical insights and documentation.

  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization, process efficiency, and innovation.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in food product development, R&D, or process improvement.

  • Strong technical understanding of formulation development, process optimization, and sensory evaluation.

  • Working knowledge of HACCP and ISO food safety systems.

  • Analytical thinker with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Team-oriented professional with effective communication and project management abilities.
