Compensation Package

Salary: QAR 12,000 per month (negotiable based on experience)

The Role

The QA/QC Engineer – Civil will oversee and ensure quality and standards compliance of all civil works across the organization’s projects. This role involves working closely with project teams to establish, monitor, and enforce quality assurance and control procedures, manage inspections, resolve non-conformities, and prepare comprehensive reports to support project success.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Control

• Review project drawings, specifications, and contract documents for quality requirements
• Develop, implement, and maintain QA/QC plans and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
• Ensure all construction activities comply with company and client quality standards
• Conduct regular site inspections to validate conformity with specifications
• Monitor quality performance metrics and identify areas for improvement

Inspection & Testing

• Inspect civil works including concrete, steel reinforcement, formwork, excavation, paving, foundations, and structures
• Witness and document material testing (concrete cubes, soil compaction, asphalt, and other materials)
• Coordinate with laboratories for sample testing and review test results for compliance
• Identify non-conformances and initiate corrective actions promptly
• Verify that materials and workmanship meet specified standards before approval

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly QA/QC reports
• Maintain accurate inspection records, material approvals, and test results
• Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and corrective & preventive actions (CAPA)
• Assist in preparation of quality manuals and project close-out documents
• Ensure all quality documentation is complete, organized, and readily available

Coordination & Communication

• Liaise with project engineers, site teams, subcontractors, and clients on QA/QC matters
• Participate in project meetings to discuss quality issues and resolutions
• Provide training and guidance to site engineers and supervisors on quality requirements
• Facilitate effective communication between all stakeholders regarding quality standards
• Support resolution of quality-related disputes or concerns

Compliance & Standards Enforcement

• Ensure strict adherence to QCS (Qatar Construction Specifications), ASTM, ISO 9001, and other applicable codes and standards
• Monitor compliance with approved methods, procedures, and specifications
• Ensure safety compliance during all inspections and testing activities
• Stay updated on changes to relevant standards and regulations
• Conduct quality audits and assessments as required

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in QA/QC for civil or infrastructure projects
• Experience in GCC or Qatar preferred
• Strong familiarity with:
  • QCS (Qatar Construction Specifications)
  • ISO 9001 quality management systems
  • ASTM standards
  • ACI (American Concrete Institute) standards
  • Other relevant international codes and standards

Technical Competencies

• Proven ability in material testing procedures and protocols
• Expertise in conducting inspections across all phases of civil construction
• Strong documentation and quality audit capabilities
• Understanding of construction methods and sequences
• Knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and acceptance criteria

Professional Skills

• Excellent reporting and documentation abilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented with analytical mindset
• Ability to work independently and make sound judgments
• Problem-solving skills for addressing non-conformances
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
