Chief Accountant

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Chief Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Closing accounts and books on a monthly and yearly basis
2. Preparing and presenting monthly financial reports to management
3. Overseeing inventory management and reconciliation
4. Ensuring tax compliance and managing all tax-related matters
5. Developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures
6. Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
7. Conducting financial analysis and providing insights to support business decisions
8. Coordinating with external auditors and managing internal audits
9. Supervising and mentoring the accounting team
10. Ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards
11. Managing cash flow and forecasting
12. Overseeing payroll processing and related tax filings
13. Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred
Minimum 7 years of experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a senior role
Strong knowledge of UAE tax regulations and international accounting standards
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
 Strong attention to detail and accuracy
 Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
 Excellent communication and leadership skills
